Shawn Ingersoll

Designer & Photographer

I am a native Portlander with a deep appreciation for the Pacific Northwest. I live with my family in Milwaukie, Oregon where we garden, raise chickens, and have two dogs.

In my families spare time you'd likely find us chilling at home, hiking, playing Legos, hammocking, watching Netflix, or visiting pFriem in Hood River.

My Clifton StrengthsFinder

Gallup's Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment is the first step in helping people identify their talents. Clifton StrengthsFinder results give people a way to discuss and develop their unique combination of skills, talents, and knowledge -- also known as strengths.

1. Intellection

People exceptionally talented in the intellection theme are characterized by their intellectual activity. They are introspective and appreciate intellectual discussions.

2. Adaptability

People exceptionally talented in the adaptability theme prefer to go with the flow. They tend to be “now” people who take things as they come and discover the future one day at a time.

3. Learner

People exceptionally talented in the learner theme have a great desire to learn and want to continuously improve. The process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites them.

4. Input

People exceptionally talented in the input theme have a craving to know more. Often they like to collect and archive all kinds of information.

5. Responsibility

People exceptionally talented in the responsibility theme take psychological ownership of what they say they will do. They are committed to stable values such as honesty and loyalty.

Education

I have a nearly lifelong education in creating. Originally it was more the fine arts (ceramics, watercolor, screenprinting, illustrations etc.), however once exposed to graphic and web design in High School, I was hooked. From there I pursued design through to my Associates of Arts degree.

It was at this point I did something a bit untraditional and decided to explore an education into another passion of mine, the environment. After receiving my BS, I decided that while I would love to pursue a career in the environmental field, my true passion was in being creative. It was near this time that I made the leap from a part time designer and photographer, to a full time Designer with Fred Meyer.

2013

2010
